i am so unhappy with this bra. The straps do not stay up and every 5 minutes i have to pick them up. It is so frustrating. This bra is not very supportive and I am so frustrated because when i first tried it on I did like it but just wear it a couple of times and you will see what I mean. It is going in the garbage.

Chantelle Response: Since you have noted that the straps keep falling down there are few reasons this could be happening. First and foremost adjust your straps to be tighter. Both the straps falling down and the lack of support means that this bra is not correctly fitting you properly. Most likely, since you are having support issues you could be in the wrong back size. Cups fit very well, band slightly big, straps stay on pretty well, although one strap stills slides off shoulder. Still much better than any bras I have tried before. I am impressed, as I had pretty much given up trying to find a bra that actually fit me. Sandra from San Diego

This bra is very comfortable and gives good support and shape under clothes. I didn't read the descrlption carefully - and assumed that it had an inner "shell" because of the name. ABSOLUTELY love this bra...so amazingly comfortable, soft and supportive. It has a really thick band, which I like, and even with my short height, I don't find it overwhelming at all. As far as being a minimizer is concerned, I personally don't find the bra minimizes me all that much, but I truly don't mind. Great shape, great fit, I love it. My only complaint is that the lining is a nude colour, which kind of reminds me of swimwear lining (in appearance only). This is purely an aesthetic complaint...I would prefer the lining to be the same colour of the bra. But that won't stop me from ordering this again. I am returning the Hedona I purchased at the same time to exchange for this bra. R from Vancouver, Canada

I bought this bra because my favorite bra is the Chantelle 3581, which has been discontinued. Because that one fits so well, I thought I would get another of the same make, but this does not fit well at all. Boobs are just mashed and pooching over top. I have to say I have this problem with all "minimizer" bras. Do they hope to minimize by just trying to smush you into a smaller cup size? Also, when it says "molded" I was assuming there would be some shape to it, but there really is not. I will be returning this one.

Keep looking for a seamless bra that is comfortable, supports, and gives a nice shape; this bra is not it. Straps and cups are very comfortable, but the cups are too shallow and don't keep the breasts in place. Everything wanted to spill out the middle. A cup size bigger may have helped, but all my other Chantelle bras are 34G and fit great. Overall, not awful, but a little disappointing.

Chantelle Response: Style 1891 which is a minimizer which means that the cups are shallow and wider to provide the minimizing effect. Minimizers compress breast tissue much like a sports bra does. This compression reduces the projection of breast tissue but can also cause the breast tissue to become wider and flater. You should go up a cup size in this style for a better fit. This is the best minimizing bra I've ever owned. It's comfortable, which I never expect with this type of bra, and holds the girls in well enough that my shirt buttons don't gape. I was a little worried when I first ordered it because I kept reading the word "molded" in the descrlption, and I expected something more like a t-shirt bra, which I don't like. But thankfully it's nothing like that, just a little thicker than your typical bra cup. It's more utilitarian and less pretty than other Chantelle bras, but that's what I was looking for - a good working bra that's sure not to show through any of my tops (not even a white button down office shirt). Chantelle continues to be my favorite lingerie company. Their bras are worth the money for any woman bigger than a C cup. Becca from Texas

This is a comfortable bra. It does run a little smaller than other brands in both the band and the cup. The straps stay put. I also like the 4 rows of hooks on the band. I find that 2-row bras aren't comfortable in this cup size. The cups have side slings which are actually between 2 layers of fabric. I first ordered 2 of these bras in size 36D (which is my usual size in other bras). I returned these since it was too tight around my torso. Ordered another 2 of the same bra in 38D but this also is very tight around my torso. The website description says "molded minimizer" & I don't know what "molded" means. It's not the foam cup I was expecting; it's soft & lined with a good underwire. Fit of the cup is good. I will keep one and probably return the 2nd bra.

Molded cups are single or double layer(s) of fabric that have been molded into the shape of the cup. This style has a wide elastic back to cover and minimize the look of back fat and could fit tighter which could explain why the fit around your torso was tight. Gerry from NJ

I have been hunting for a comfortable minimizer for over a year, and was beginning to think I was going to have to live in a sports bra, until this bra arrived. This is it! Finally. I am a really hard-to-fit size: 5'4", 150lbs, athletic build, short torso (so bras are always digging into my armpits or coming up too high in the front, showing through v-neck teeshirts), and all-natural DDDDs. I had been wearing the Wacoal Slimline Seamless Minimizer in the wrong size for years, and stuck with it because it was the best I could find. I have also recently settled for the Chantelle Hedona and Prima Donna Seamless Underwire Bra (016-1330), both of which are just okay. But this bra is The Best Bra. In my size, 34G, it has 4 rows and 4 columns of hooks, which I really like (both the Chantelle Hedona and Prima Donna are only 2 rows of hooks, which feels a little flimsy in a big cup size). The back and sides on this bra also come up higher than on either the Hedona or Prima Donna, and I find that this has a much more slimming effect under thin sweaters and tee shirts. I also like where the straps rest on my back. They are set closer in than either the Hedona or Prima Donna, again giving a slimming effect. The cups are not lined, and are actually a less sturdy fabric than on the Wacoal or Hedona or Prima Donna, so if you're concerned about show-through, keep that in mind. But I find that this bra is super comfortable and gives a great shape--definitely minimized, but not pancake-y. It's a more contained shape than the Chantelle Rive Gauche, and less conical than the Hedona (also, I find that the top of the cups fits better), and less smooshed than the Prima Donna.
