The boning on this is thicker than most so it worked underneath a wedding gown for me. But yes if you bend in a certain way with it on, the boning bends and then the front flops open. Still, this is better than many out there for the price. If you want a real corset that does not bend when you sit, you have to get one custom made or perhaps one of those satin ones that lace up the back.
