Love quality of fabric but seriously these are the most enormous granny panties you will ever encounter. They look nothing like the photo. Waistband above waist etc...

Calida Response: This item is a full brief style and will fit everyone’s body shape differently depending on your rise.From your comments it sounds like you need a smaller size. For example if you picked a size Small that would fit a customer that wears a slack/pant size of 8-10. Wicklow Girl

They are NOT as pictured, thank goodness. They also run big. I had read the reviews, so I was prepared for this, even counted on it. They are LATEX FREE & elastic free in the legs, which is the point. It is hard to find good quality & latex free. Comfort, which is a golden extra, is greatly appreciated. I've been having a hard time finding latex-free panties that fit. These are OK, but the high waistline is pretty ugly. I prefer a bikini style.

I love Calida sleepwear and have previously worn and enjoyed their briefs. I thought these looked good because of the covered elastic and knit leg bands, so I gave them a try. Three stars for quality, not five because the photo is very deceiving as to the design and fit. As several other reviewers mentioned, these briefs come up way higher than your natural waist. I think I am going to like these a lot, especially in warmer weather. They come higher up on the waist and lower down on the leg than I usually wear but having no elastic and such a breathable fabric is a real plus. Because the waistband twists in the wash I just put in 4 stitches - sides, and center front and back. Problem solved. I'm not giving them 5 stars because they have serge stitching to hold the crotch panel- instead of turning the edges under. But the stitching actually is pretty soft. I bought a larger size so I can wash and dry hot and let them shrink. Marcy from VT

These are soft and comfortable, but the top elastic twisted up after the very first washing, which was annoying. I ordered a larger size, as recommended by other reviewers, and it's fine, although they do go a bit higher than expected -- probably because I'm petite -- but they're definitely below the navel, which I prefer. material is nice and cool. i like the open weave for our hot, humid southern weather. i did not have any 'wiggle' room so if you want a looser fit, order a size larger. i usually wear a size 6. the waist is an elastic band within folded down material - therefore, the waist is soft, but the elastic will get twisted. fortunately not during wearing it and it was not hard to straighten the elastic out after washing. susan from sc

Overall I have been very pleased with the underpants though I had difficulty determining the correct size. The first pair I ordered was too tight in the groin so I had to order another pair a size larger. Even then, the garment is a little snug in the groin but feels a little loose in the waist. I am inclined to try one size larger yet but am concerned it is then going to be too large in the waist. That said, I am so relieved to find underpants that are latex-free. I had until recently been able to manage with cotton underwear that had the cotton-covered elastic at waist and leg bands. However, my most recent purchase of that brand seems to be irritating my skin and it appears they are using a different type of elastic at the waist and possibly the leg band. So I will surely be ordering more of the Calida underpants from your web site. Thank for providing this product! Norma from Altamonte Springs
