The comfort of the fit was excellent. However, I did not care for the slight indentation at the waist due to the silicone insert at the top of the lace. I understand that it keeps the panties in place and appreciate it. Also, I am within my target weight and do workout regularly. My other panties do not indent at the lace. I am sensitive about things around my waist and found the "plastic" waist band, attached to the top lace, annoying. Have returned them. Donna from TN/USA

I love the cotton and the lace band makes me feel pretty... have only worn them once so I can't say yet how they hold up with repeated washings... all in all, I like them courtney from Kentucky

All cotton panties are not created equal. These are the best--silky, comfortable and lovely. A great choice for folks who like natural fibers. Eve from Florida

These panties stretch well, come just under the navel and really cover your whole bottom. If that's what you're looking for, you'll find them very, very comfortable- particularly since they're all cotton and breathe beautifully. The lace panel isn't cotton, but it's thin, soft against the skin, doesn't roll, and has such beautiful give that it won't dig in and create a roll around your mid-section. I love that! Take care to order small. I ordered an S, and I'm an average figure, but probably should have ordered the XS. Other reviewers were disappointed because they assumed the lace panel was a minimizer. However, the product description makes no claim of this, so these reviews have been unfairly made by those who didn't read the description thoroughly. Anyhow, I liked the first pair so well that I bought a second! Sabrina from Washington

looks pretty and functional if that lace is tummy control, then nice! Tummy control that doesn't squoosh and flatten the butt is ideal. Submitted from TheUndies.com

Calida Response: Hello Lana from Colorado! I'm so sorry you are disappointed with this item. Please allow me to point out the features of this product and sizing concerns. This brief is not meant to be a control item, but a very comfortable, pretty wide lace panty that gives you a nice smooth look that will not dig into your waist and hips. This brief is made of 50% cotton/44% viscose & 6% elastane. Viscose is a natural man-made fiber made from purified cellulose which comes from processed wood pulp. Viscose is similar to cotton & silk and is very soft, silky and absorbent (nearly twice that of cotton) and very comfortable against the skin. When blended with cotton the fabric is very fine and smooth which gives it that "silky" hand. You will find that this fabric will wash well and remain looking new for some time.
Calida's European sizing runs a little fuller than say American brands. To find your right size - go by your slacks/trouser size for Calida. For example: if you are a 4/6 in slacks/trousers, you would be an XS. Size 8/10 = size S. Size 12/14 = size M. Size 16 = L. I hope you will please consider giving us another try!! Please feel free to email us again with any questions on the Calida products. Respecfully yours, Claudia Claudia from New York, NY USA

I ordered these because I thought the wide stretchy band of lace would give me a little support and flatten my tummy a bit. However, when I got them, they were way oversized - I started with a large, returned them for a medium. Even the medium seems too big and the fabric seems flimsy. The stretch in the cotton seems non-existent. They are definitely NOT worth the $33 price tag. Would never order then again. Lana from Carbondale Colorado USA
