Up until recently 2-piece bathing suits were sold as one unit, meaning we didn't get much choice when it came to fit or style. But now that swimwear pieces are sold separately, not only can we all get exactly the fit we need, but we can mix and match tops and bottoms endlessly. Even if you need a large top with bra -sizing for support, you just may want to pair that with a bikini swimsuit bottom, even a tiny one. Bikini bottoms sit low on the hip, with moderate to minimal rear coverage and a low rise. Flaunt even more skin with a string bikini which has an even lower rise and thin ties at the side. Mix and match colored and patterns, pairing a print bottom with a solid top or vice versa. For a flirty, but more covered-up look, try a skirted bikini bottom. Although very low rise, the flouncy skirt covers the top of the thighs, a part of the body that some women are self-conscious about.

One of today's popular styles is the swim bottom with fold over waistband. This actually gives you control over how much or how little skin you show. Styles may have high cut leg openings, which elongate the leg or may be cut more like hipster panties, with a lower leg opening. As for colors, patterns and embellishments, the sky's the limit. Patterns range from a tropical riot of color to dots, stripes and geometrics. Have some fun and buy a few different tops to match the bottoms; it's a lot of bang for your buck and adds versatility.
