Our label p.jamas was launched in 2000 when we saw that the market was pulling away from very high quality cottons and going more for inferior cottons with high tech finishes, which end up being washed away in the laundry. Our strength has always been extraordinary fabrics. We make our own cotton knits simply because we have never found what we want. We are the only ones doing 60/1 pima cotton interlock, for instance. As for our wovens, for the most part they are 100/2 ply yarn-dyed pima or Egyptian poplin, the same quality you find in made to order men's shirts. As for manufacturing, all our garments have French Seams, sewn with 18 stitches per inch. Most styles have real mother of pearl or fresh water pearl buttons and European cotton trims. Our garments are mostly made in Brazil. FYI: Our parent company, Fashionviews, Inc, did private label for many years for the sleepwear industry. Our specialty was always fine cottons and we worked with high-end labels like Christian Dior Sleepwear and Donna Karan Intimates.
