Le Mystere no. 9 Lolita Strapless Bra 7759 Reviews

Unfortunately, my breasts need a little more help than what this one offers, despite the dense padding and rigid shaping. I got this bra about two years ago before my second child. At the time, I needed a strapless bra, and having few options in my size, 30d, this was what I got. I didn't know at the time le mystere are designed for augmented breasts, but I can definitely say now that this is not a great bra for someone over 40 who has nursed two kids. There is a lot of padding, which I seriously don't understand if the bra is meant for augmented breasts, and is designed to give a lot of lift (again, I don't get that if it's meant for augmented breasts. How high do you need your boobs to be for pete's sake?!) BUT the shaping is so rigid and contours so well defined that if your breasts are not already firm and full, your boobs just kind of get mushed around in there without any real enhancement happening. I love this bra. I'm so happy that Le Mystere made a 30 band size. I really wear a 28D but at least this is closer. I love the construction of Le Mystere bras. I do not have augmented breasts but this bra looks great on me and under clothes. I appreciate the padding on the underside. It really is necessary for a nice-fitting strapless bra. It very comfortable and flattering and is wearing well after several months (no crease lines). Laura from California

I'm disappointed with this bra. As far as support goes, this bra works which is the ONLY reason I'm keeping it. IT IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!!! The first time I wore it, after I took it off I had indentions from where the bra was literally digging into my skin. I can't believe how bad this bra hurts. I have already exchanged 3 bras and this was the last one I bought so I'm over it. I'm going to keep the bra merely because it does support; HOWEVER, IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

Le Mystere Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry that you are experiencing discomfort with this bra. You should not be faced with indentations in the skin. It certainly sounds like a sizing issue. Perhaps a larger cup, or a larger band may have made you a bit more comfortable. I am not sure where you are finding the most irritation, but you may consider picking up a softback bra extender (that is, if you find the digging to be all around the band area). Had I listened to the other reviews, I would've known. This bra has a very thick seam which shows under my shirts. I'm petite, so I need a bra with close-set cups. This pulled me apart, making me look even flatter than I am. The padding didn't do much either. Minimal padding suits me, as I do not wish to convey that I have larger boobs than I truly have.

However, to address your issue, might I recommend you giving Scarlett Hybrid a try, or even our No. 9 Lolita bra. These both come in a 30C and give more of a cleavage line. I am happy with this bra even though the cups feel a bit small (there is some top spillage) but it's OK with strapless styles to have this look. Some bras with bump pads make me look huge, but not this one. I don't have implants but this fits very well and it stays up too. The cups are solid, not soft, which is necessary for this style to stay up. Finally, the straps are BEAUTIFUL. Arden from California, USA

This is the most comfortable strapless bra I have worn. It provides good support and STAYS UP! The detachable convertible straps are an added bonus. I ordered at first using the LeMystere sizing chart. The bra was too big so I returned it for a smaller size which is the size I wear in other bras (Wacoal and Natori). This bra is wonderful. I have not had an augmentation, but my breasts are very full and round, and I've had terrible luck finding strapless bras that are supportive enough and look nice under low-cut tops. The cups on this are actually a little bit too small, I wish they made a 32F, but it's very supportive, cleavage looks nice, and its comfortable. Artemis from Philadelphia, PA
