They are a bit uncomfortable but the real issue is that they are too shiny. The plastic/rubber is sticky and gets stuck and bunches into a roll if you're not diligent while you are loosening or tightening them. This item would probably be a lot more comfortable and more supportive it it was thicker (instead of a quarter inch, maybe a half inch or 3/4 wide and if it had a less polished surface. The straps stick to your skin and feel uncomfortable. Transparent yes, but they are so shiny they are very noticeable. These straps were long enough for me and I have a long torso. They are nice for shirts which my straps peek out a little. I wouldn't wear them with a strapless top-they're not invisible b/c they are so shiny. The straps stay put better on my shoulders than regular straps, however they get a little uncomfortable by the end of the day b/c they stick to your skin.
